Nels Leafblad + Charlie Parrish-Siggelkow
$8
I grew up in the suburbs of the great City of Lakes. I studied biology in college. I tried out for American Idol once, made it to Hollywood, and then got sent home right away. I’m in medical school now. But I still love playing music. I’m Nels Leafblad. Check me out.
Charlie Parrish makes music that navigates the seeming contradiction of simplicity and innovation. He believes the world of sound gives so many opportunities for new, exciting, and challenging music, yet there is undeniable pleasure in a simple song. Performing his own songs as well as some old and new favorites, Charlie seeks to create familiar, yet unique music. Charlie wanders from place to place, musicing in different shapes and forms, drifting through folk, rock, r&b, jazz, and classical music. His lyrics find their place somewhere between Kerouac and Biblical poetry.
Matt Moberg - Cancelled. He's terribly sorry. We'll have him back soon.

The recording of This Love found Tyrone Wells in the studio on and off throughout most of 2012. Tyrone teamed up again with producer, Michael “Smidi” Smith. Smidi produced nearly half of Tyrone’s sophomore major label release (Universal Republic) entitled, Remain, as well as being responsible for 7 of the 8 songs on Tyrone’s acoustic EP Metal & Wood.
About This Love, Tyrone says, “I did my best to make a mostly acoustic record. I always find myself listening to acoustic music, so I did my best to build the record around the acoustic guitar and make an organic sounding CD that I would enjoy listening to. Smidi was the perfect choice to produce this record. Smidi does a fantastic job of not getting in the way and helping really serve each song.”
Coming off of his full length release, Where We Meet, in early 2012, Tyrone anticipates great things for This Love. Where We Meet debuted at number 1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart, as well as top 10 on the overall iTunes chart.

Jake Armerding + Ben Rosenbush
$10
The Boston Globe calls Jake Armerding "the most gifted and promising songwriter to emerge from the Boston folk scene in years." Armerding grew up playing classical violin and listening to 80's pop radio. Over the course of 1500 performances, he has shared the stage with Bela Fleck, Nickel Creek, Josh Ritter, David Wilcox and Toad the Wet Sprocket.
Armerding will release his sixth album, Cosmos in the Chaos, at Aster Café. The album features performances by Rosenbush and other friends joining them onstage throughout the evening.
“ ...Ben Rosenbush proves he's anything but run-of-the-mill on his second album, "A Wild Hunger." The Duluth-bred part-time cellist boasts a nearly operatic voice that brings to mind Andrew Bird and Rufus Wainwright, and his songwriting style has all the drama to match...”
